The Scammer is using my legit business information on Facebook Markeplace in an attempt to scam people. My business phone, address and name are being used to make them look more legit. The scammer uses the contact dealer button through Facebook to get peoples emails and lure them in with a fake story saying, "My name is Katie Brown, I lost my husband 3 months ago, Free shipping of vehicle, Please use Ebay services to do the transaction, etc."
People are blaming me for the fake vehicle listing. Also my phone rings constantly and people are showing up at my business looking for vehicles that do not exist. I spend hours every day dealing with the people who are being scammed. I also receive negative reviews based on the misrepresentation of my business.
Facebook does not remove the scammers listings or profile even though I and many have been reporting it which is the only way to contact Facebook about it. They do Nothing.
I have contacted local and state authorities, 2 news stations, as well as filling out several government complaint forms.
I feel sorry for all the people that are driving, some hours away, to see the fake vehicles.
