I began receiving emails seven days ago from Eva and Edwin Gonzalez. I responded with a request to validate the debt, by forwarding documentation to the address on file. The balance allegedly owed was $500 to Cash Express.

Edwin replied with a more demanding letter and allegation of $4,500 owed, and payments not received would result in local lawsuit for check fraud and deceptive lending.

Again, I responded with a request to validate the debt.

This has been nonstop harassment from a company that refuses to provide basic information regarding their claim.

Watch out for this caller! They tell you you have a debt with cash express, even if I have never taken a loan out from them, and state that cash express can have names like Capital one etc. They know a lot of information and want you to pay otherwise they will charge you more.

I've had a brain aneurysm and I am forgetful. I'd been looking for a loan online. I got a message saying I'd been approved for a loan to call them back. I called back. I spoke to Frank, he had a foreign accent. He said I was approved for a loan of $15,000. He asked what I would do with the loan. He asked if I worked, and what I did for a living. I told him I was self-employed and on benefits. He asked for my bank account number and routing number. He said said he would talk to his store manager (other people were on phones in the background). he said in order to get the loan, I would have to go to Walmart, Krogers or someplace that has a Western Union to buy a card to activate. I asked why I had to purchase a card. He said that's the way it works. I said it's a scam. He said "Well, we'll just cancel the loan", and hung up.
