However, in the event you can, this is my experience: over the course of the last several weeks I have been receiving phone calls from these Cash Payday people. Normally, I say nothing and they hang up, after I hear a very unprofessional background of noise, laughter, comments. But, a handful of times now, I have politely stayed on the line and asked them to remove my number, as I am on the ‘Do Not Call Registry’ and have been for several years now. 2 people have said, ‘sure’ and deceptively told me they would remove it. I didn’t believe they would, but I thought I would try. 2 people have flat out said, ‘no, they are not removing my number’ and when I pressed them and explained to them that it is illegal to not have an option for a person to be placed on their do not call list, from a robodial with an automated message, they balked, pushed back and hung up on me.
And I am brought to today...I received another one of these calls and because it appeared as a local number, I answered, same Cash Payday message. I pressed ‘9’ and was connected to a person whom I asked to remove me. He mocked me and said, ‘why were you hoping that we would do that, sweetie?’ He kept calling me sweetie, honey, then baby. I asked him to stop and remained professional and I again asked him to remove me. I apologize in advance for the next statement, he said and I quote, verbatim, ‘*** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***.’ I was appalled and he hung up.
What on earth?!?!?!?No one has ever spoken to me so disrespectfully, ever.
However, I have a plan and I will get more information on them. Once, I do, I will resubmit this form.
