I purchased a digital gift card from IKEA on June 1 for my cousin who is going to college. The gift card was never sent to her. IKEAdirected me to their third-party gift card manager Cashstar. Cashstar told me they couldn't fi gure out what went wrong with the giftcard and that the only way to handle it was to refund me the money and for me to purchase a new card. On June 8, I purchased anew gift card which my cousin received. On July 31, she attempted to use her gift card at the White Marsh, Maryland location of IKEA,but the gift card would not work and IKEA would not honor it. I called IKEA to determine the issue and they referred me again toCashstar. On July 31, I called Cashstar but their system was down. On August 17, I called Cashstar again. They informed me that theproblem is on our end and the gift card had not been viewed. They said there is nothing wrong with the gift card so I should follow-up with my cousin. I said at this point I wish I had just given her the money, please issue a refund. They said they would appeal mycase, but they cannot guarantee a refund as nothing is wrong with the gift card. The gift card is for $100, which is a lot of money formy family and I do not appreciate all the unnecessary hassle of trying to give my cousin a gift before she departs for college. I believethe ethical thing is for Cashstar to issue me the refund I have requested.

I purchased a $50 gift card online for my nephew on November 23rd. at the time my province only selling essential goods in stores (at the time Gift card were not essential). I was quoted it would be recurved is 3-5 business days. At 7 business days I contacted the company and was told it must have been lost in transit and I requested a refund. I was told I could except the refund in 5-7 business days. After 9 business days from thAt email I have not received the gift card nor the refund.
