Ryan Caswell the owner of Caswell Contracting was referred to us by Georgian Hot Tubs in Barrie, ON to install a cement pad for our hot tub. That was completed on time but we asked him if he could build our fence and shed and he agreed. We agreed on a price on August 24, 2023 for the fence and shed. He asked for a deposit and we provided the $2,500.00 on September 18, 2023. We have called and sent text messages numerous times and he said that he was out of town, his dad was in the hospital, and that he was going to return the money on November 13, 2023 and asked for my email. I provided the email but it is not late on November 14th and we still have not received the transfer of funds. He also scammed our neighbour out of $3,500 for their fence. We are seniors living on fixed incomes and cannot afford to lose this money but if this stops just one other person from being scammed then it would be worth it.
