The person who supposedly we were dealing with through email ( [email protected]) was Cathy Anderson a hotel and resort manager who provided the following personal information: cell: 901-352-9148, state of hawaii tax id: GE-***-01, office address: 95 Lono Ave. Kahului, HI 96732, Airb&b reviews link (https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/1417464#reviews).
It turns out that Cathy Anderson is a legitimate person that lives in Hawaii and rents her one bedroom condo through Airbnb for which she has legitimate reviews, but has nothing to do with other rental properties and the scammers have been using her reviews link and name.
The first email we got said: Aloha, Thanks for showing interest in our condo, we still have those days open, what's your email so I can send you a quote and some more pictures... Mahalo.
After providing our email she sent a description of the property, reservation details and cost. Once we replied we were ready to book and if we could pay with Venmo she reply yes that venom was ok and that we needed to fill up the rental agreement, which is attached below for you to see. After we fill up the rental agreement and sent back to her she said her Venmo account had too many pending payments and that she had sent a request through Google Wallet.
The Google Wallet account name was izuchukwu ugwu and the email [email protected]
After she received the money, she sent a payment receipt and after that never replied again.
