Cathy Guisewite and Nakiyyah Blue emailed me about two Maltipoo puppies named Mason & Rubi 3 months old. The puppies had a very good temperament and needed a new home.She said the puppies needed a new home because she was moving to Chicago.Cathy Guisewite asked for $450 for the puppy Mason. I emailed her and I shared my name, address and phone number. All the conversation was done by her email [email protected] and texts (312) 899-6470;(518) 333-2164 and her WhatsApp(201)579-3480. She asked me to pay on cash app or Zelle.Unfortunately, I used the Zelle on my app bank.She asked me to pay the $450 through her husband name Cornellius Kipchirchir his email: [email protected] After 3hrs she texted me saying that Mason was ready to be delivery to my house by a delivery company name Animal land pet movers. The delivery company emailed [email protected] and texted me (312)940-9849. The company asked me to make a $950 deposit to Zelle by email [email protected] name Dionna Williams. I paid the $950 then He said that in a few minutes he would give me the puppy flight information. After 30min he asked me for $285 for the puppy to be fed and get water. He said if I do not pay the $285 I wouldn't get the puppy. I called Cathy Guisewite but she did not answer. She texted me through WhatsApp saying that I should pay because the puppy Mason was ready to come to my house and I should not let her down or Mason. So I paid again to Zelle email [email protected] name Regina Mygrant. After that I never got any flight information. I texted Cathy Guisewite and I told her what was going on. She said to me not to worry that Mason would be in my house on Sunday morning May 10. In the meantime she asked me to be added on her contact list. She asked me if I got her text with 6 digit code from google. I said yes. Then she replied by saying can you give me the code as I trusted her I did give her the 6 digits google code. After all that I called my friend who is a retired police officer. I sent her all Cathy Guisewite emails, texts and WhatsApp and the delivery texts and emails. My friend called your bank right the way you have been scammed. I cannot believe that this woman Cathy Guisewite was an evil and dishonest person. She seemed so nice and lovely and passionate about pets. Please, be aware of these people. I hope people can be aware of this type of scammer.

I responded to an email from Cathy Guisewite about two Maltipoo puppies a boy named Mason and girl named Ruby each for $450. I wanted them both. So I sent $900 to a Zelle account (her supposed daughter) Nakiyyah Blue phone number (973) 757-8592 for the full amount. Then an hour later I was contacted by a Steven Morris at 312-940-9849, who identified himself as the representative from the animal carrier agency about the flight information for the puppies traveling from Chicago to my doorstep. However, I needed to spend $950 for pet insurance that would be refunded to me at the time of delivery either through Zelle or a $950 Visa Gift card. I paid and then heard nothing afterwards. This is the worst scam possible. I was sent photo images of the pups. I was sent an itemized list including the behavioral analysis and temperament match for the puppies that were already house trained and potty trained-impressive for 4 month pups! THIS IS THE WORST SCAM POSSIBLE! I need to know what I need to do next-do I go to the police? Is there a way to even get that money back? Probably not. BEWARE!

I just had an interaction with her. She lied saying puppies Were three months old and she had a boy and a girl Mason and Ruby she then tells me that the girl has been spoken for and then only Mason the boys available she then sent me a WhatsApp video of the dogs I asked her what the parents look like send me pictures of the parents then I asked her if they have shots and a vet bill of health including neurological. I then asked her ages again since they were three months old according to her and she then told me “listen That’s his age” Then I was blocked on WhatsApp which was a different number than she was texting me from and then she blocked me from the text messages. Her emails even look like a scam when she sends you a questionnaire about the dogs. My cousin inquired about these dogs six weeks ago and had the same interaction with her claiming they were three months old and when I called her out on it she blocked me again

I heard the same story! I asked for a video call to see "Mason" in person. Crickets! Such a scam. Plus, the saying if it's too good to be true, it's probably right. $450 for a Maltipoo isn't close to the actual price.

Cathy seemed to check out--email the same as website. Ok not the same phone # but similar area... Paid $450 for mason thru Zelle (Cathy takes Zelle or Cashapp only) just to find out there is a $950 charge for transport. Realizing it was a scam, I luckily am only out $450, not $1400.

What a steal, huh? A cute apricot multipoo for $450... Oh no literally. She stole $450 from me.

I came across this link: https://cathys-maltese.business.site/ because I am looking for a puppy to adopt. I contacted the breeder at the email listed on the website. Cathy Guisewite got back to me saying that she had two puppies left, a boy and a girl, and that her daughter could not take care of them. She is currently living in Chicago and would gladly rehome one of the puppies to me. The price is $450. However, after careful review of online reviews, and after she contacted me requesting payment through Cash App, I felt like this was not a good idea.

I suggested I pay with PayPay so I could have a guarantee that I would get my money back if there was an issue and she refused to accept PayPal. I knew then that I was being scammed.

She has three different sites with different email address and phone numbers and she uses three different last names.

Whatever you do, please be careful with this one.

Same exact thing just happened to me! Same sob story about rehoming the 2 puppies! I emailed them back and told them they were [censored] and how could they live with them self’s and sleep at night being puppy scammers ! They replied back Telling me to [censored] OFF! So glad I saw this ! Thanks

I came across Cathy's website Cathy's Maltese. I had texted the number on the website and her husband directed me to the email. I had emailed her she quoted me $450 for rehoming because her daughter can not take care of the puppies. She provided me pictures of the two puppies and had asked me series of questions of my intent. Assured me that the puppy would come with toys, vet papers, and etc. She took my address and phone number and after I heard nothing. I live in NJ and she was sending the puppy to me from chicago. I then decided to search her name and I found this review about her. It was very similar to what had happened to me. Be careful!

I came across the website and sent an email inquiry. I received an response from Cathy Butler stating that she needed to rehome two puppies. Pictures were included and the rehoming was quoted as $300. I sent another email verifying the quote. Mrs Butler responded with a further explained story that the primary caregiver could no longer care for the puppies due to new employment. She also had a series of questions for me to verify my intent and ability to care for the puppy. I sent another email asking if I could pick the dog up in person, which she replied "You can come and pickup the dog here yourself in Chicago if you want." In the meantime, I did reverse image searches of the pictures she originally sent. One of these pictures, attached below, was linked to/used in 29 other sites. Fortunately, through the Petscams site, I realized afterwards that Cathy's Maltese and Cathy Butler was listed on their fraudulent scam website alert.
