Bait and switch scam from CCMOM with fake product images
CCMOM (from the website ccmom.cc) is a bait and switch website that has incredibly cool and elaborate designs for kids, that they offer to adults as well in their "Mommy and Me" collection. However when you order one of their designs, they send you something only vaguely related and very cheaply made. I lost $70 on this order. Most of the designs appear to be tufted and almost three dimensional in the photos, which makes them seem fun and unique and piques your curiosity. When you receive the items it's just a normal cheap fabric with something close to the design printed on it. The most sophisticated part of this scam is that the website and the images are so realistic. The website is able to mimic a legit large online retail operation, and gives you confidence you otherwise wouldn't have that the products are real. I have heard the images may have been made with AI. I tried contacting them at [email protected] but got no real help.
