I received an email from [email protected] that stated that I was invited to an interview on Google hangouts at 9 am on Wednesday and that the position is Customer Care Representative and the salary is from 30 to 50 an hour. I did the interview and during the interview a lady that said she was the hiring manager by the name of Eileen Key asked me if I owned or have any acces to some office equipment. I replied and said no, then she said that I shouldn't worry because the company will be mailing me a check and once I receive it, take it to the bank then email or scan her a picture of the deposit receipt. I received the check and saw that the check was in the amount of 4,820. I told her that I have it and she replied saying that should go to a bank. As I was looking over the check I noticed that something was off about it. Once I notice that and thought the whole situation through. Thinking that this could be a scam, I started to ask her a lot of questions about her, the company and how the interview was hosted on Google hangouts. She told me that the company and her being the hiring manager is real. She gave me a number to call her and speak with her. I called that number and it was disconnected. I immediately stop communicating with her.

I have been receiving numerous spam e-mail messages from a company called Celtic Healthcare purporting to have posted an ad on ZipRecruiter , asking me to set up an e-mail account prior to commencing the application process. They even sent me text messages about the job opening which I do not remember submitting an application for .
