Centennial Services Reports & Reviews (6)

I received a call from Ashley first, then Heather and Taylor Evans. They are calling reporting to say I owe money for a payday loan that was never taken out by myself. They had all of my information. They reported several different amounts owed. Told me my case would be escalated if not taken care out.

My fiancé got a call from centennial services about an old Kay Jewelers debt from 2013. He was sure it had been paid, but thought he was mistaken. We were naïve and assumed the debt was legit. They said we owed $2842.00 but would settle for $750.00. That should have been my first clue. We did a $50.00 “good faith” payment them maid 2 more payment arrangements for $350.00 each for the next two paychecks. They took the first one on time with no issues. The 2nd they tried taking a day early, but luckily we had not deposited the funds into that account yet. We got a text that was very stern sounding about our payment declining and that we were in danger of forfeiting our arrangement. I tried for 6 days to contact them with no luck. I then decided to look them up online and found a lot of fraud accusations against them. I then called my bank and started a card dispute for fraud and called my local police department to report everything. Both the bank and PD said it sounded like fraud and of course, we felt quite stupid and defeated. I left many voicemails on 2 different mailboxes for centennial services, I only got a response once I mentioned the card dispute and fraud claim. I spoke with “Jason Lawrence” once I mentioned that I needed them to prove the debt because I had concerns of them being fraudulent, he said they didn’t have to prove the debt and that he legally obtained the money since we willingly gave them the card info and signed a docusign agreement for the transactions. He was very argumentative but once I informed him I have sent all documents and info I had to my bank and the PD he offered a full refund for me to drop the card dispute. I really thought he was pulling my leg. He didn’t refund the money when he said he would, but once I called back and asked for a transaction id of the refund or else I would go ahead with the claim with my bank, he refunded the money and provided me with the transaction id. I called back once the refund posted to let him know I dropped the transaction dispute with my credit union, and they answered the phone right away. Go figure. He was still argumentative about having to prove the debt and whether the original creditors could share info about the account and to whom it was sent to. I repeated that the transaction wasn’t fraudulent that we gave the money willingly but never once disagreed with me that his company was fraudulent and not legit. They also don’t state that they are a collection agency and any info collected would be used for that purpose. Nor would a legit collection agency refuse to prove a debt OR offer a refund! Please do don’t give these people money! If you do, fight them! They are called centennial services and use LAT processing out of Florida to process their payments

This person called me and said I was put down as an contact from someone but, when I ask who is this they were rude and hung the phone up. So I tried to call the number back they did not answer. Also, he said I don't want to talk to you where is the person I want to talk to.

There have been many calls on our phone from a caller ID with the name Centennial Services/Centennial Service. The call instructs the person who picks up to press 1. It claims that you are the point of contact for a family member/specific individual. It continues to call. Phone numbers may be fake or spoofed.

Received a phone call, called number back. Stated they were trying to collect a debt from a payday loan service. I stated I HAVE NEVER applied for nor receive any payday loans nor have I EVER heard of the company they stated. They had the wrong name, wrong address, etc. to begin with.

They stated I was better off if I paid the amount of money they were requesting even if I didn't owe it to avoid paying a lot more fighting the case in court, regardless if I owed it or not.

I contacted the FTC and reported them. Also I did contact an attorney to pursue them for this fraudulent action. Enough is enough.

SCAM SCAM SCAM.

I just received a similar call. The man was so rude with me and said that I tried to complete fraud. What happens after you sign an agreement? Are you legally bound to paying this illegitimate company?
