Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Central Systems mailed a hard copy of an invoice for some toner. Our company has no need to order toner. The leasing company for which our equipment is leased supplies it per the lease agreement. Central Systems is now emailing a copy of the invoice along with a signed W-9 claiming we requested the copy. The email is from Ron Moss but the body of the email identifies John Gibson at Central Systems.

Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill

Someone called the main phone number for our company and obtained the name of the person answering the phone and the model of the printer closest to the front desk. We then received an invoice for overpriced toner for the printer - product we never received. Despite UPS tracking numbers included on the invoice, there is no evidence that we have the toner cartridges they claim to have shipped. All of our toner cartridges have the sticker with the name of our local leasing company where we order our supplies.

This happened twice within two weeks from two different companies: Central Systems and Digital Supply Center. Both of these companies have the same town and ZIP code: Canoga Park, CA 91309.

Their names are Central Systems, 6433 Topanga Canyon Blvd. #402, Canoga Park CA 91303. Phone 888-206-6482 Fax 888-254-3713. They call with my Tosihba info and printer type.
