I had visited this pawn shop and was misled to believe that you can pawn your firearm here at it, and it isn't the case. It's not an actual pawn but you're essentially selling your firearm and they are reselling the firearm back to the customer which is not considered a pawn but a firearm sell. The issue is that they exploit DOJ's system by not returning the property to the customer if the said background check for the firearm comes back as "Undetermined". Central Mega Pawn could legally deliver your firearm but they will only deliver the firearm based on discretion. I am an African American male with tattoos and I didn't look like anybody that worked there inside of the store so I could easily feel biased because of this. There was a person who helped me who claimed he was the boss but also asked me personal questions about me possibly having legality issues because I was deemed "undetermined" by DOJ. Not only did they refuse to deliver my firearm but they also didn't give me any sound advice on how to get my firearm back but told me GOOD LUCK trying to get DOJ to approve my application. I was also told that I would have to do another background check and they wouldn't return my property unless it was approved. I immediately felt scammed because I have never experienced or talked to an FFL dealer and they've held people's property and strict them of their rights to bear arms because of "undetermined" status. One of the workers named Randy explained that this is a very common occurrence that California residents go through this but they will use their discretion on who they release the firearms back to. PLEASE BEWARE of this SCAM and these workers who claim that you can't talk to the boss (who is the FFL licensee). Please do not pawn your firearms here because they will offer you a low amount for your property and if you are deemed Undetermined its a huge possibility that if you are African American they will not give it back. This doesn't seem right and I will be seeking legal counsel.
