Scam

Save yourself the trouble and do not fall for this scam. I was contacted by Sheila Melinda an HR personal at the CGG Company. I was offered an Administrative assistant/customer service representative role with a pay of $35/hour. I was provided a link and told to download Microsoft Teams chat and get in contact with Dechun Lin the hiring manager. Mr. Dechun assigned me various tasks during this time. Stating it was part of the hiring process. I was sent a brief overview of what the job required and was asked to sign a contract. I was then sent a e-check for $950.00 from the Georgia Department of Revenue and instructed to make a mobile deposit. Mr. Dechun contacted me the following day stating that the vendor was willing to ship all training materials for a small deposit of $550.00. As I was contemplating sending this money I received a call from my bank stating the check previously deposited was fraudulent and that they would be closing my account. I provided my bank’s fraudulent department with all the information needed and relayed this information to Mr. Dechun for clarification who immediately blocked me.

Please be cautious and don’t give these people any of your information.

I received an interview for CCG COMPANY via Indeed.com. Was “hired” and received a check for $3,450.00 to help “purchase” my equipment. Later in the day they sent another check for $4,850.00 for the “software” that needed to be configured.
