The scam started when I got a text from a recruiter on Indeed to add Scott Smith to my Zoom contacts for an interview. It was ok until he asked me for my full name and address because he was going to send me an offer letter than came I’m going to send a check for software equipment because the job was remote. Me trusting the process deposited this check then came the instructions to pay these vendors by Zelle. I knew something was incorrect when the Zelle would not go through. Next day my account was overdrawn for $1000 because they couldn’t verify the account.

I was contacted by Jerome Denigot. I was stupid enough to send a picture of my ID. I didn't have any funds in my bank account, so he couldn't ask me for money because I will never overdraft my bank account. What did bring red flags was when he asked for the user and password of my At&t account. Then he asked me to order four Iphone 12. I asked why and he said it was for them to download the software there. They payed for the order and after thinking for a bit, I canceled the order and blocked him. I was a fool to think that any employer will ask for so many things. They also changed the position I wanted to apply for without my knowledge or consent.
