Found puppy online. Contacted the breeder, preferred text. Agreed to sale. Made us pay with cash app. Told us shipping included/nothing extra. Told us puppy would arrive next day. Shipped through American Pets Express ([email protected]) but tracking came from Ecologisticsshippers.com. Puppy did not arrive. American Pets express made us pay $1200 for insurance & crate with $1050 refundable on delivery. Was paid by zelle/quick pay. Then same day they requested another $1380 to cover a USDA pet transport license. All the while we contacted breeder who wanted us to give him Amazon gift cards to cover fees so he could pay them. He claimed he used this company before. Said he had a license then said he didn’t have a license. It’s a scam. We checked with AKC, breeder & mom/dad dogs were not registered even though he claimed they were. When we questioned as a scam neither American pets express or breeder will return our call.
