Scam job offer

These people really think they are slick
I told him from the jump, scammers try anything and he just kept going.
Wanted me to specifically say "YES I AM"
Yeah not happening dude. Sent him screenshots of the scam posts and blocked him Gerry Alexander was his name. It was an 802 number. And I never applied for a job with them

Exact same thing except for my check was never $10,000. The account name and address of the company on the check was for a house in a residential area and a wealth management advisory company. Similar to the real wealth management and the owner's page looked fishy on LinkedIn. Glad I found this website because I looked for other examples of this and they were all good. I do not know if they're piggybacking off a real company but I believe they must be based on the amount that's on the internet and claiming to be the number one builder in the USA

This just happened to me also. It is fake, do not accept the money or job offer. I am only posting this comment because of the people that commented above and my gramas advice saved my a$$. So hopefully I can save someone else too by confirming this to be a scam!

This is true. I can totally confirm this because it just happened to me too. Luckily I’m smart to detect that a job offer process is not processed that quickly

With a 5 minute, online interview, I was given an offer letter. It seemed fishy to me so I did some research and found that:
- I did not even apply to work for this company.
- I called HR in multiple locations (Branches) and no one got back to me.
-I questioned the interviewer about not having an email domain for the company and just got that they give you an email when you sign the contract and give them you direct deposit information even though they had gmail email addresses.
-They send you the money to buy the equipment and training materials?

RECIEVED A JOB OFFER AND WAS SENT A CHECK FOR $4985.21 TO PURCHASE WORK SUPPLIES AND WANTED THE LEFT OVER TO BE SENT BACK AS CASH. CHECKED WITH BANK ISSUED CHECK AND THE ACCOUNT DOES NOT EXIST.
