I was contacted via text stating that my resume had been viewed by Champion Home Builders for a remote administrative/ data entry position. Advised to set up a Microsoft Teams Account to be connected to HR for interview.

The person approached me via text message regarding a job position to then send me to microsoft teams to be in contact with the “Hiring Manager” while the person I was in contact with sent me the link to the real company website, the person I was in contact with was 1. offering me a position to a job that didn’t exist and then followed up by saying they wanted to send me a check by mail to purchase all equipment needed (mac book and many other expensive items were the required equipment) it was then followed to say that the equipment can only be bought by their vendor. I know sending the check for equipment is a common scam.
