My husband and I were looking for a beagle puppy and cam across the add and were very interested.

However last night after a couple of emails back and forth with "David and Heather" I got a gut feeling this could be a scam. So this morning I started to dig a bit and yes they are a scam and thankfully no money was exchanged.

The picture we got of "Bella" is the same picture that Jim Brown has posted on this page.

Our experience parallels that of Rosemary Salinas (who filed one of the complaints above) We also bought "Hunter". The scammer who gave us numbers (210) 571-8709 and also (210)664-6690 is apparently working with another scam outfit called Royal Mail Transglobal Shipping. We should have suspected something when David Brooks (supposedly of Charlie Angel Beagles) had to give us three Zelle numbers before one finally went through for $860. Because we are in Hawaii, which is notoriously picky about pet imports, we sent him the State of Hawaii forms, which require a blood test and a 30-day waiting period. Brooks asked for an additional $517 to cover these extra costs, which we sent. He said he had contracted with Royal Mail to deliver the puppy "Hunter" directly to our door. We got an impressive internet website which purported to show a map of the airliner's progress on a map. We should have suspected something at that time because of the magical disappearance of the 30-day waiting period. Royal Mail e-mailed us a few hours before the alleged flight to say that they needed an $1800 "fully refundable" fee for a climate controlled dog crate. They, too, had to supply three different Zelle addressees before that payment went through. Royal Mail then said that the address we sent to had been backlogged and asked up to send $1800 to a different address, which we refused to to. The company then relented and said that they had pulled the puppy off the flight, but could get him back on, except that we had to pay $2400 for an upgraded crate, which we refused to send. Royal Mail then became abusive and held the puppy hostage at San Francisco until we paid. At that point we were sure of a scam and called our bank to report a fraudulent Zelle transfer. They are working on it, and we are getting together the paper trail to take to the FBI for Federal Wire Fraud. It looks like we will have to get in line. We are broken hearted to discover than Hunter probably never existed.

I have been looking for a Pocket Beagle and came across Charlie Angles Beagles. I inquired about one pup named Nani. My mother had just passed a way a few months ago and we called her Nanie. I felt like she was the perfect fur baby for me to shower her with love. On the description it says Female. In the same description it refers to Nani as male. The photos are precious and no one has purchased one. I inquired about Hunter as well. I asked it they could face time me to see the puppy and I never heard back from them.I find it very sad that there are people in the world who could offer a puppy a beautiful life full of love. I don't understand is how people take advantage of good people. Very sad.

Janet from Jersey (New): I also have to report concern of a scam. I chose one of their beagles last week and corresponded back and forth . Was concerned when the initial email was from Charlie and Nancy and the resulting ones were from Mike - Tyrika Mike or Mike Tyrika. I called the phone number and the gentleman answered - w Russian/German accent (my perception). I hung up and emailed "Mike" asking him to call me. This same person returned my call and when I said I was confused as to who was Charlie and who was Mike- he replied I am both they call me "charlie" also. When I asked how the airport pickup works (it would be Newark Intl, NJ) for me , he replied, "No we bring the dog to you". I told him I had concerns and asked if I could speak w someone who purchased a dog from them could phone me or have him give them my number. He said he would try. I have not heard anything for two days. Sounded too good to be true , I think so. Janet

Been getting the run around... and nearly verbatim for the above complaints.

I think it maybe a scam... gave me a phone number that don't work. I am going to call the Better Business Bureau. They gave an address of 18916 Calle Ciena San Antonio, TX 78258.

They would only accept gift cards and Zelle; confirmed payment and assured us, “Sorry we are not selling your dog to any one (else) and we are going to send your dog today” on Fri, Jun 19, 2020, 5:31 PM, signed this time by Pocket and Regular beagles [email protected] Johnson and Nadia: (Name of second seller, same dog, exact same wording on everything). While we were embarrassed thinking that Zelle was a secure account, hopefully this message will keep others from be defrauded.

We have been looking for a Beagle puppy for our daughter and we stumbled upon Charlie Angel Beagles and we were so excited that we found the perfect puppy. After emailing all day we decided we should call them to confirm payment. We couldn’t find their number anywhere! So we asked them if we could call and they gave us their number. When they answered the phone, you could tell they were trying to change their voice. They would only accept gift cards and Zelle as a payment. When we asked them to do an escrow.com payment instead for insurance purposes, they never returned our messages. I googled the phone number and it came up as a French bull dog scammer!!
