It used the first initial of my son’s name, as a fellow customer of Charter Communications, stating he chose me to receive a free gift, then proceeded to ask for my debit card number to pay for shipping. My son had no knowledge of any such thing, when I asked him after the fact. There are several separate companies identified—coolgadgetsyoucanbuy.com, electronicsondemand.com and consumergadgetsdepot.com, with no physical address given in any of their communications.

Will call up 3-4 times a week. If missed, no voicemail. And if answred, will not speak. Simply hangs up. Had to call the number back to get a response and I had to ask who they were. After repeated requests for them to stop calling me, they do continue to do so, and just do it from a different state or whatever. I do not know if it really charter communications or not. I am reporting them because they are harassing via my phone and I want it to stop. I am never late on my bill and have told them repeatedly I do not wish to be up sold or bothered. They have yet to comply.
