- Minnetonka, MN, USA

Called me and said "can you hear me?" When said yes, started to say they were from Chase bank. Hung up at this point.

- Willoughby, OH, USA

Asked if I could hear them. I stupidly said yes and then it went to a recording for a credit card I don’t own.

- Euclid, OH, USA

Try to get me to log into a chase bank account but I don’t have one. That’s how I knew it was a scam.

- Rootstown, OH, USA

The person called and said "Hello?" and then "Can you hear me?" to which I replied yes. Then it sounded like they hung up and it said "This is Chase Bank calling about..." and I hung up.

I got a msg from the above number stating that:

(CHASE): We have placed a hold to your account due to fraud follow the link below to verify & regain access to services

I called my bank and they disproved the information.

April 8th 2022 I received a text message saying CHASE FRAUD and received a phone call soon after saying there were fraudulent charges on my account. From what I assumed was a Chase representative walked me through what was going on and had me go on my Chase app to secure my account. While we were talking and figuring out the problem I was getting text messages which looked like they were form Wells Fargo. These text messages had confirmation numbers that the "Chase representative" was asking me for. I had no doubts because this person was calling me from the Chase number that is on the back of the card. When we were finishing up this person hangs up on me. I called the same number back immediately after. There was no sign that anyone ever called or went into my file on Chases end. I told them to freeze my account so nothing could be taken out. That next week day I went to Chase bank to take out my money in my account and closed the account for good. I've talked to so many different people with Chase and I have gone to Chase 3 separate times to figure this out. I've made multiple claims with Chase and Wells Fargo. All of my claims were denied because the person that originally called me scammed me out of $2000 and there was nothing they could do because I "authorized" it myself. When the money was taken out my account had already been closed so I though everything would be okay. I looked at my account one last time and it was in the negative $2000. It's been over a month and I still have no resolution. I was told I would still be responsible even though Chase admitted themselves that I have been scammed and it is something that happens a lot. Chase told me I could be put on a payment plan to pay off this negative amount. I will not pay something that I was not responsible for. I'm at a loss, I've done everything I can. The image attached is the original phone call I received, which is Chase banks main line. And the outgoing call was made by me when the first person hung up on me.

I received a phishing email saying that my chase bank account has unusual activity. I did not respond.

This is,the second email I received over the past 2 days.

Claims to put a 'hold' on my Chase account to resolve 'suspicious activity'.

I have just been deleting these because I don't HAVE a Chase account. I just saw on the news these scams need to be reported to BBB. Sorry I can't give you more data. I deleted them. What should I do with future text messages??

I was told my account was past due (it is not) and then I was asked to pay $300+ to clear it up.
