The scammer posted Labrador Retrievers for sale at $850 and was located in Bakersfield when I contacted them about the puppy he said it was still available however he had moved to Casper, WY for medical reasons. I had my reservations but he assured me it was on the up and up. We discussed the dog for a few days and agreed to a price $850 for the puppy and shipping. I paid the $850 and he was to arrange the shipping details to my home. He only took payment through CashApp and Zelle, I sent it through Zelle. He took a long time to confirm things. When I finally got a tracking number the shipping company wanted thousands of dollars for a climate controlled transportation crate. They communicated mostly through text and also only took payments through CashApp or Zelle. At this point I was very suspicious and tried to reach the shipper again however I got no response back. The shipping company threatened to file charges for pet abuse and abandonment if I didn't pay the cost for the crate and was very aggressive in trying to get paid. I did not respond back to them after exchanging multiple text and receiving a address to send a Zelle payment.
