Instructions were to deposit check in my bank, deduct my pay of $300 and use the rest to purchase $2400 in EBay gift cards. Open card and peel the silver scratch off area. Photo both front and back of cards and send along with my report of store visits to the email address. However no email was ever received and no email address was included in the instructions. Only contact was via text. Tried calling the text number and voice mail was that of a young woman who never answered any time I called.
Recognized this as a Scam. Called ScamPulse.com and found no information. Discussion of what had taken place was confirmed as highly suspicious as a scam attempt.
Voided Check and will use this as an example in the fraud workshops that I teach.
