The person called initially, but I declined the call. I'm selling a car via Craigslist, and the phone number was from the other side of the country, which, though not unheard of, was strange. They then texted me saying they had lost service because they were in a mall. Again, not unheard of. When I replied with a "who's this?" they asked how many miles were on it, without saying it was in reference to the car I was selling. Weird, but I played along. They requested I order a vehicle report from that particular website and email the results to the above email. The website had multiple redirects and I didn't complete the order because it seemed extremely sketchy. When I thought more about it, it seemed an odd request considering the car is not sought after, and reading over the texts, they seemed...generated, like a script. I did get a vehicle report for a future buyer from a government approved website, and told them I'd rather give them the report when they come look at the car. At this time, I am still waiting for a reply.
