Went to this site to purchase a puppy. The site looked legitimate. I made an inquiry and asked for additional pictures which I received. The price was set for 850 dollars to include delivery. I paid 300 dollars and then completed the rest of the payment once the puppy was "registered" with the delivery company petshipcarriers.com. All was good I thought the pup was scheduled for delivery to my home in Arizona at 630 in the evening on a Saturday. Then I got an email from the shipping company that said the puppy needed a special create that needed heat/AC and to rent this which was totally refundable was 700 which I thought was odd and a lot for a create I would never have in my possession but I thought okay they just are being very cautious. So I paid. All payments were paid through PayPal which should have been a big red flag especially for the shipper but I was trying to get a few things done that day and be home in time for delivery. So I paid it. Then I got a second email saying now I needed to pay 1000 dollars for a city permit and insurance for the puppy. Again totally refundable once the puppy was delivered. This is when I said no way and reached out to Katie the seller who tried to assure me this was all legit. She told me this was the last step in the process. I told her that she never told me about all this and the price of the puppy was 600 and 250 for shipping. I told her I was unwilling to pay this price and planned to pick the puppy up ourselves. She tried to assure me this was in the best interest of the puppy to keep her safe during transport. I said it may be but my husband had business he could do in Dallas and she was supposedly located in Waco Tx. At this point he had already booked his flight. She tried to convince me she would pay half of the 1000 to get the puppy to me on Sunday. I said she would need to pay it all and I would reimburse her when they reimbursed me. She wouldn't agree. My husband flew to Dallas and drove to the address on the "shipping registration" and it was run down house with no one around. She texted my husband and said she worked until 4 pm but would text him when she was off and picked up the puppy from the shipper. She never texted him back. Needless to say they cut communications with us and of course there was no puppy. The phone number that they were using was disconnected. She deleted her face book profile as well as one of "her customers" that I had found on facebook and reached out to about her purchase. The website is still up as is the website for petshipcarriers.com I have reported them to Facebook and Google. I also filed a police report in Waco Tx which I'm sure she or whoever they are don't even live there but that is where the said they were located. I also have reported all the transactions to PayPal as well as to my bank. I was scammed for 1550 bucks. Tis was her contact info she used

Facebook page for Katie Robinson is linked to a private group page named "chihuahua puppies for rehoming near me". Katie Robinson also has a website on her page claiming to be a breeder. The name of the business is Chihuahuas by Katie (chihuahuasbykatie.com). The person is using a PayPal account with the user name @Javiercoleman877 and email address is [email protected]. The scammer sent videos and pics of the puppy and claimed to be in Asheville, NC. I told the scammer I would travel to NC to pick up the dog. They insisted there is a $300 deposit via Zelle, PayPal, cash app and the remaining $300 would be paid on pickup. The day of pickup I received a message from scammer stating their Mother had a stroke, and they would need to pay someone to deliver the dog to me. Once I started contacting people "Katie Robinson" is friends with on Facebook asking questions, the scammer stopped responding. I messaged a FB friend of "Katie Robinson" and she told me "Katie Robinson" tried to sell them a dog, and "Katie Robinson" told them she was located in Birmingham, Alabama. So who knows where the scammer actually is. I have filed a dispute with PayPal to try and get my money back.

Saw a woman who was selling chihuahuas for $600 on her website/facebook and I messaged her saying I was interested and where she was located. She then proceeded to tell me she can also do pet delivery to my door or airport and I chose my house. She said the total cost for all of that would be $800. I agreed to the price. I then put in an application on her website and she asked for my info such as address, phone number, name and address. I asked if I could pay her half and then pay half when I get the puppy. She agreed to that. The next day she took the dog to get “registered” to be ready to be on the way to me. She texted me saying I needed to pay the rest of the money and I said that’s not what we agreed to and she said well she couldn’t do anything bc of the pet delivery people wouldn’t allow that. I was very confused. I sent the first half through PayPal and then the second half on cash app only bc my pay pal wasn’t working at the time. After I sent her the full amount ($800) the dog was registered and I had a tracking number. The next day after that (today)… I get an email from the pet delivery she went through and was told I needed to pay additional $500 which I was never told about bc the puppy needs a certain crate with heating. The scammer has a Facebook and she is an admin of a Facebook group. Her website looks legit and her profile does too. It looks like a normal family. Also all her Facebook post is the same who like it and then the same with those people. Today is when I’m supposed to get my dog and i haven’t heard from her in a couple hours after I told her I can’t pay $500 when I was never told about this. I was only told to pay $800 for full price. This was very unprofessional and I need her business taken down before she hurts someone else. She plays mind games and I have stressed so much I have physical pain. Please help!
