His email Subject was: "Place our sticker on your vehicle". His email mentioned - "earn $400 weekly by placing our stickers on your vehicle for Childhood Cancer Awareness Program". He went onto say, it was a small sticker - which fits on the door panels of your vehicle. If interested, kindly reply, so he can forward the details to me.
I replied back on April 5th, that my husband and I would like to know further details on this matter. He replied back very fast (same day - on April 5th) - mentioning they are looking for 8 people for this matter. He said, that they have just launched a Childhood Cancer Awareness Program and they are seeking to expand their publicity to USA and Canada. He attached a copy of the sticker sample to us and indicated that they can be easily removed after.
He further went onto say, that we will be paid $400.00 weekly, for one month. He was very anxious to get a reply back form me, as he again mentioned that only the first 8 people to indicate - will be selected. He said further.."rest assured that you will get paid, as we will pay you upfront and before we get started - he will be mailing us, our first week payment - later, he will mail us 2 stickers".
This person (Gerry Gardner) mentioned that if we wish to participate, we need to reply to him, with the following information: First Name and last Name, Residential Address, City, State/Province, Postal Code, Cell Phone Number and Type of Car/Bike/Truck/Van.
Plus he was now asking the questions of: "how often do you drive your Car/bike/Truck/Van outside your house - all the time? Do you park in your garage or on the Street or both. He said to "kindly respond accordingly and he will proceed to get started.
I am now sorry of course that I gave him some detail of us - which only included - Our first and last name, our complete address, Home Phone Number (I stated we didn't have a cell phone number (although we each have one)...I gave him the Year of our Car and the Color. II mentioned that we park - both on the Street and in the garage, plus we live on a busy Street. I gave him no further information, than what I indicated above.
On April 6th, I now received an email from Gerry Gardner - thanking me with the Details. He now indicated that "we have been officially accepted as one of the 8 applicants to participate in the Childhood Cancer Sticker Project and now congratulated us and welcomed us, on-board on their team".
He mentioned in this email, "to get started, he will send me a Cheque. Upon clearing your cheque, you will be required to deduct $800 for your first two weeks salary and keep the balance property for further instructions".
He further mentioned.."This is a straight forward AD campaign and he will want a photo proof that the sticker was placed on our car, so once we receive the sticker and apply them, he will need us to send him a picture of our car with it on it".
He also mentioned in his email (quite long I must admit) "that he wants to confirm that we understand what is required of us and once again, he indicated that we will receive the cheque, deduct $800 for your first two weeks payment and keep the balance for further instruction".
He now was asking us "to respond, stating that we understand what is required of us and acceptance to do as stated".
Finally, he indicated - "I will like you to re-confirm your details below (like name, address, phone number, and car) to ensure they are correct, so the cheque can be mailed to the correct details.
His second last paragraph indicated the following..."We want to complete our first phase of ad campaign so as to move to another phase, where if possible you will play a larger role to earn more".
His last paragraph indicated the following: "Please get back to me accordingly".
Regards,
Gerry.
That was the last email from him dated April 6th.
After discussing this with my husband, *** - we now were seeing "too many flags" and it just didn't feel good for neither of us and we knew this was, nothing, but a SCAM.
Of course, I will NOT be replying back to him, if I hear from him further. I will ignore all of his emails. ** ** ****** ***** ** **** ***** *** ** ***** *** ***** ******** * **** **** *** **** **** ***** ** ***** ****** ** *** **** ****** *** ********* ******* **** **** ***** *** ** **** **** ******* * **** ** *** *** **** **** *** ***** ** **** *** *** ***** ** ****** ***** ***** ** ***.
My husband and I are hoping that we can save others from this Scam, as I am sure, some will go for it.
Many thanks for being out there and advocating on behalf of the public, in trying to alert others, who might fall prey to this Scam and many other ones, that are circulating out there everyday. ** *** **** *** ******* ********* ****** ** **** * ********* ** ******** ** ****** * ****** ***** ******** ** ******* *** * **** ***** *** ****** *** ***** ** *** **** **** **** ** ****
