Type of a scam Online Purchase
The co. website stated 30-day return/refund policy, so I decided to return the items. The shipping address was from California, so I contacted the seller to confirm the return address; they ignored my confirmation request and stated returns are expensive and suggested I keep the items instead and offered a laughable $18 gift card (for a $220 purchase). Since I wanted my money back, I decided to return the package anyway, paid for shipping/insurance, and not to my surprise the address was undeliverable. I decided to check back on Fb and I noticed other people have also reported it as a scam in the comments, one of them a woman native to Hong Kong who stated the clothes are typical Chinese-market-place quality. It has been a few days and the package has not been picked up by the seller from the local Inglewood, CA post-office where it is being stored.
The co. shipped my purchased items in two shipments/packages, and the second package shipping address states "RETURN ONLY, NOT FOR SALES Postlink YDH, P.O. Box 6368 SOH, Rosemead, CA 91770" (assuming another fake address). The first package address was from Inglewood, CA (which I stated as the scammer address, above). I have emailed the seller to pick up my returned package from the Inglewood post-office and to confirm their supposed "return address" so I can ship back the remaining items. I would like my money back, but more importantly I hope this co. faces consequences as more people may continue to get scammed, possibly under a different co. name. Is there any hope in getting my money back? How should I proceed? This is clearly a scam, and I do not expect the seller to give a helpful response, as they gave me the runaround regarding the returns. I don't want to ship to the second supposed "return address" as I do not want to waste more money paying for shipping/insurance that will end up at the post office again.
My USPS Tracking nr. is ********************** P.S. The pictures of the clothes look way better than reality, and do not convey the poor quality in real life.
