Was talking through app to Dana Saranathan who was representing Landlord Christine Sutherland. Received a lease contract indicating property address 903 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI 48823 with Christine Sutherland as the landlord and has her signature on agreement. Building is the Element Building. Both the address and building name check out but she is not the landlord. Son, age 18, signed the agreement and sent 2 wire transfers each in the amount of $1500. $1500 security deposit $1500 first month's rent. We have since found out that Christine Sutherland is not the landlord. The money was wire transferred to her and it went to her chase bank account located in Auburn, CA. The Element building apparently only uses one management company and indicated that there is no Christine Sutherland so she could not offer up anything in that building nor is the unit number valid. She offered a rental that she had no ownership of and took $3000 of funds to date. The "Dana Saranthan" person has since asked for another $2500 which we have not responded to. Both of them scammed us out of the money. I have numerous documents but the site doesn't let me upload all the wire transfer information.
