I applied for a work from home job on career builder. Start receiving text messages that my resume match what they were looking for, so I scheduled an interview. The interview was through teams. I interviewed and got the position, then I was asked to speak with my supervisor whom would be over me and conduct my training. Not thinking the training was the following day. She took in some personal information then she asked how did I prefer to be paid and how often weekly or monthly. Being behind on my bills I was desperate. Gave her my account info so I could do direct deposit.She asked me if I had cash app I replied yes she asked me to go to it and verify my self and send her a screenshot. Then add her email to my cashapp so she can verify when the company sends me money. She wanted me to purchase bitcoins and send if to a company profile. I was only 5 dollars I was hesitant but I did it so I could verify myself. Then the next day in the grocery store she messaged me on teams and said I sent you money, go and buy bitcoin and send it to the company profile which were just a lot of letters. I sent it s because I check and it was actually a 100 in there. Later my spouse told me that he sent me a hundred dollars earlier. So I checked and the money that I sent to the “customer profile” was actually my own money,. So I asked her why did she lie to me she said it was a misunderstanding but I had to use my money to make money. So I asked why did I have to spend my money I took on this job to make money because I was behind on bills. After telling me that I would be compensated on Friday for training and the money I spent which was 104 so I went with it but on Friday no money then being out town and my daughter sent me 96$ she messaged and said send the 96$ in bitcoin and I said no my daughter just sent it to me I received no money from these people then she said looks like you have a lot of overdue bills after seeing cashapp declined a lot of them. She went all the way from 96-50$ when I said no they both went ghosti never received payment or reimbursement from [email protected]
