Scammer used the name of a well known International minister I was very familiar with, to send a request to follow me on Instagram. The scammer presented themselves in a manner as the minister would, which gained my confidence. After a brief dialog of familiarity, they told me I had to donate to an orphanage in obedience to God. They gave the name of the orphanage as Greater Tomorrow Orphanage. I did Google the organization and it looked legit. The sight asked for my email and it would send me information on how to make a donation. By this time now the scammer asked for my WhatsApp number which I shared. When I told them what the website said about emailing me directions to donate, the scammer said to use Cash App and to send the money to the representative Wanda Dodson-Remer who also seemed legit. I sent $300. After further interactions with this individual red flags started going up and then I realized I was out $300.
