The job was a realtor's assistant, finding information for new construction projects and sending the information to Sara for further review. Today we received a check in the mail which Sara mentioned was from a client that need to process. This involved me going to my bank to cash the check. As soon as I received the check, I looked the client up online and the address that the check was sent from as the addresses did not match. The address that the check was mailed from was from The Futon Shop in LA, I found the "client's" phone number via a Google search and called her. She confirmed that it was a fraudulent check and that she did not write it. We are now working to send the check back to this poor lady and information regarding the "company" and will be reporting this to the local authorities as well.
