I clicked on a facebook ad for cisco hiring customer service representative in denver. What raised my attention was the time of night ( 1:00 am) i was contacted in Facebook messenger about said postion for which i applied for, second thing that alerted my feelings of scam was the email to contact said HR department was a Gmail account, 3 thing was asking for a payment to get equipment to do said job, i asked TONEYA SARWAR 3-4 times to prove to me she actual worked for cisco was sent a photo of her employee id badge with the employee #01-53907, still not feeling comfortable with how things was going i advised too cease all contact and alerted proper authorities she still continued to contact me.

I received a test message saying that my resume had been approved for a position I applied to. It gave the “name” of the person texting and told me to download the google play/ App Store. And to reach out to a hiring manager and gave me a name and a phone number. Once I contacted the “manager” on the app, they proceeded with a very convincing interview via chat. After answering their questions they told me I had got the job. Then told me I will receive a check in the mail and to use that to buy all the machinery needed for the remote job. Their tone of writing changed once we got to this part and it was very specific about what to buy and who to send the money to. I got suspicious and deleted my account and app…
