Received an email. Stated she wanted me to do makeup for a wedding. Identified a business stating this was the location the services should be provided. Stated her "boss" was going to mail a check to me as his wedding gift to her. Stated her boss was paying for me to do makeup and another to do hair. Stated that when the check comes that I should pay the hairdresser. Check received in the mail with no return address. No statement other than the check made out to me for 55 times the amount. Check was for $2,750.

In email communication, would not identify "her" actual name or address, would not complete the request for contract. Now today received a second check in the mail with same information. I called the venue that email indicated where the "wedding" was going to be held, and there is nothing booked on that date or anyone close to the name in the email.

I emailed back and stated you've completed none of the requirements, there is not wedding booked on the date you claim that it's going to be held, and have not paid for a deposit in correct amount. I blocked the email. Since that time have received the 2nd check.

In the mail - both checks were mailed in a blank envelope, however the postage stamp and location stamp was from Birmingham, AL
