I just received a phone call from what appeared to be the Clackamas Sheriff Office (503 655 8211). A supposed Sergeant Jason Nalls said that I was charged with Failure to Appear in Court and Contempt of Court as a witness for a case involving a minor because I did not comply to the summons that was handed to me in person by two police officers in uniform (never happened). They repeated my address back to me and my name. I was told I now owe $5100. I was transferred from him to a supposed Lieutenant Brian Jensen, who was supposed to explain more. The call had dropped and he called back from 703 419 9218. He was a giant a-hole and incredibly rude. He was shouting non-stop about how I was violating a federal gag order (?) and said he couldn't give any more information about the court case because of HIPAA (which is a faulty application of the law). He also then threatened to throw me in jail for not complying. He had a southern accent which was weird. This rattled me and I wanted to post this so that it saves someone else this headache. I've reported this to the Clackamas Sheriff's Office.
