The scam begins with a recorded message stating that you are being sued by the IRS. You are instructed to call back and they answer IRS (thick foriegn accent). Immediatly they start asking for personal information. Name SS# ETC. As far as I know the IRS doesnt contact you by phone. At least not before sending several letters 1st.
