Next, the interview seemed legit and they need to send a check cover equipment. The check is fake.

I was scammed by another company. Sent me a fake check for so called equipment needed. Needless to say my account was closed and now I owe the bank over 800.00. Here is the new fake job posting Be Aware!

I am messaging someone from that same e-mail address. I just referred to the suspicious activity and they are denying it. I wish would have looked up the email address earlier. I gave these people my address, phone number and name of carrier.

Someone named Ms. Mary K. Huffman (760-593-3617) txt me at 6:20pm on a Saturday saying they found my resume amd thought I'd be a perfect fit for their $40hr Office Assistant. They told me to download the TeleGram messaging app and that my interview would be texting.
I got a "confirmation code" to send to Mrs. Ann George. I got in contact with "her" and we introduced ourselves.
I was asked all the right questions: I am at least 18y/o, can I legally work in the US, etc...
Then when the interview questions started (at 7:49pm on a Saturday), I was asked normal interview questions.
I started to notice a couple grammar errors but didn't think much of it. I ended up being a "perfect fit for the position" and was welcomed to the team.
At first, my hiring bonus was $100, then it was $150. I was told I'd get a "supplies check" sent to me via FedEx and that I would need to keep a receipt of all my transactions. Also that a third party vender would be installing some type of automated time keeping on my work laptop. I was also supposed to get a work cell.
At first, my work laptop could be a certain Mac or a certain HP.
Then it started to get weird, it was almost like they had forgotten what kind of equipment I was supposed to get. They also said I had to purchase the equipment through the same third party vender. So once the funds were available I needed to contact them and pay them through zelle or Apple pay.
It seemed too good to be true. I was only asked for my name, address, and an emergency contact.
The more I thought about the more strange it seemed. I saw that the actual company was legit, but doing an interview through messaging and nothing at all verbally over the phone started to not seem normal. I slept on it and then googled "ableto healthcare" and thrn I saw "scams" so I clicked on that and it brought me here.
This all happened last night.
I sent another msg this morning asking if FedEx delivers on holidays. We'll see if they actually send that check out.
Makes me feel alot better knowing I wasn't the only one that fell for it.
Shame on them. There's a special place in HELL for these [censored]ing [censored]heads.

I was contacted via text by a Mrs. Sarah Chase from AbleTo Healthcare. the number attached to the text was 405-393-2128. She said I needed to download WhatsApp so I could connect with the Interview Manager at 1-917-979-2264.They gave me a code to use for the employment forms. They sent paperwork to my email address from [email protected]. After filling out the paperwork, I was offered the job and when I chose direct deposit and the asked for the regular information. They told me too that I would be receiving money to purchase the equipment I would need. They never specified how much it would be. Then they insisted they had to have the login information for my bank in order to confirm that I used the money to purchase ONLY the equipment. I refused and pointed out that that was a ploy used by hackers and scammers. Then they asked about a credit card. No I do not have one. This morning I was told that I needed to go to Walmart and buy a $50 gift card, but not register it. ? I asked a few more questions but got very vague answers. The person I was supposedly speaking with via WhatsApp said his name was Mr. Porter A. Strickland. He stated his title as Senior Sourcing Partner-Recruiting at AbleTo Healthcare. The forms I received by email had the company address as
AbleTo Healthcare
320 W. 37th St,
New York
NY 10018
It sounded like it could have been a great job, but after all the red flags, I know it is a scam. Please look into this and shut them down, so no one else is taken in.
I also noticed that several of his comments were deleted by him. When I asked about them, he said they were duplicate comments and he didn't want to confuse me. I know they weren't duplicates.

I too was contacted by Sarah Chase and did the interview with Porter Strickland. Just don't add up for me. I applied for a job on indeed and usually that is the first point of contact or an email. Not a text message. The hire process makes me wonder. You don't want hear the voice of the person you are hiring? Very odd.

I received a job offer as a remote, work-from-home Reporting Data Analyst from AbleTo Healthcare.

The person who initially reached out was Roxanne Carter who texted me from this number: (332) 330-9421. She instructed me to download the Wire Secured messenger app and provided an interview code to be interviewed by Khalid Hamilton.

I did the interview yesterday with Khalid through instant messaging on Wire Secure and just received an email this morning that I was accepted for the position, which requires that I provide a picture of my passport or drivers license. I'm hesitant to do so because something seems off.

Same here, totally scammed!

- West Kingston, RI, USA

I was emailed about a job and then advised to reach out to a hr person Robert Willis via telegram app for a interview virtual via messaging and then I was told I received the job and would be getting a check via mail for expenses for office supplies. And they pay is very good for such a simple job. It seems to good to be true.
