Laura smith posted a job opening on upwork.com that I applied to. She conducted an online interview and hired me for an administrative assistant position with CLAM pharmaceuticals. She told me their website was unavailable due to upgrading. She sent a cashier's check so I could buy quick books and other software but told me I had to wire transfer the funds to another person to pay for the software and it would be mailed to me. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that and that I was no longer interested in working with her. She responded that I was stealing from her company and threatened me.
