Reached out through LinkedIn as a recruiter and gave an interview, gave a seemingly legit offer letter but something felt off with the email addresses, the wording, and especially in the offer mentioning they’d send a check to cover equipment prior to working (big red flag.) Used company logos, names and addresses but there were some mispellings and oddities such as suggesting getting paid by wire transfer.
