Our Australian Shepherd had passed and we were trying to find a puppy to purchase. On a website, https://classicaussies.com/Available-pups.html, we found a puppy to buy. We emailed back at [email protected], and made arrangements to send money to them through Western Union. They confirmed receipt, then we received an e-mail from the supposed shipper, TransExpress-Logistics, that the crate needed to be a "Electronic Thermal Crate" and we needed to send them at least $950 to rent it, but 95% would be returned to us when the puppy was delivered.

The e-mail was quite long explaining why it was needed and what my choices were, up to $1500 for the largest crate.
I called "William Peterson" the name on the e-mail at 918 351-7884. I told him about the shipper e-mail and said our agreement was $150 for shipping. He made all kinds of excuses, I believe with an Indian/Middle Eastern accent, very hard to understand. I was disconnected 4 times while trying to confront him about this.
I found out online that this is a common scam, buying puppies online.
