I found their website classicchihuahuapuppies.com via a google search. I inquired about a puppy and they texted me back. I have a law degree and I’ve bought chihuahua puppies from out of state before so it didn’t take long before I had a feeling they were scammers. They almost immediately told me to send a $300 refundable deposit to hold the puppy via google pay, Zelle or Apple Pay. I told them I needed a signed contract before I exchanged money. They said I would receive it via email after I sent the deposit. I asked questions about the puppy and they either weren’t answered or they gave vague answers. Since I was on high alert at this point, I looked up their address on google street. They listed it as 10333 Orchard Grass Court unit 125 Charlotte, North Carolina on their website. I asked why they had unit 125 attached to their street address when it’s a single family home and so is the rest of the street. They said thanks for contacting us and let us know if we can help you in the future and immediately cut off contact. Clearly, they realized on I was on to the fact that they are scammers.
