I went on what I thought was the HBOMAX website to sign up for HBOMAX. The membership loads up to 50% and then a message pops up to call the number on the screen to complete the membership. The number was a tech person. I was charged 150 dollars. HBOMax worked for a few days and then no longer worked and Roku wanted the password reentered. I was not given a password by this tech guy. I questioned him at the time of the subscription as to why my name was not on the who's watching list. He said one name was the server person and the other was the bookkeeper. Since it is apparent to me now that this was a scam, I have not pursued it further and am out the $150. I have closed the credit card that had the charge on it and the bank has reissued a new card.
