CleanLino Reports & Reviews (17)

My mother ordered a lamp from cleanlino.com in December. It arrived two months later, in a flimsy package. There was not receipt or details on how to return or exchange the product.
The light the lamp emits is negligible, it isn’t the kind she wanted, and the tap and dimmer functions do not work. I have repeatedly tried to get answers on how to return the product and/or fix the issues from a so-called Liam Ryder at the company but he has been giving me the run-around. This company has zero customer service and Kafka-esque return policies.

My experience is very similar to everyone else’s.
STAY AWAY DO NOT BUY FROM CLEANLINO

I bought a lamp from Cleanlino, it arrived and had defects (stains on the lampshade).
I emailed Cleanlino on December 20, 2022 asking for a return address and sending them the photos of the lamp and stains.
Since then, I have been exchanging emails - dozens of them - with the person who calls himself Liam Ryder almost on a daily basis. Ryder has not given me the return address, nor the return shipping label, nor phone number when I suggested we talk over the phone rather than exchange emails. Three weeks after my first email with photos, he emailed me on January 11 saying I did not send them the photos that showed the defect.
Clearly they do everything to force you keep the defective product and want to keep customers' money. He is probably in China because he always responds after 9 pm ET.
Stay away from this fake company and their scam

This company is a total racket/ scam/ fake. I ordered two identical lights, both Flowepot lamps after seeing them on Instagram. One was what I ordered though extremely poor quality—clearly a fake. The other was broken, the wrong colour and the wrong size. Three months later I don’t have a refund. I’m a lawyer so well equipped to deal with them but the company essentially relies on people giving up. They have told me they refunded my money and ask you to jump through truly ridiculous hoops. For example, they wanted a video of the defective lamp and then told me to convert it to a different format even though the video was shot with iPhone. They made me send the lamps back through a bizarre courier company that was basically the back of a van. It made me feel like I was about to be murdered.

Oh, and I’ve been dealing with the same “Liam Ryder” as everyone else. I’m not sure he exists and if he does, he is a total fraud. At this point, I’m pursuing my refund as a personal challenge.

Never EVER buy from this company. Their rip-off and subpar product arrived in the most pathetic packaging ever, with multiple dents in the metal and the stem. I was overseas for the month it was delivered, and when I explained that in my email, their response was I was not entitled to an exchange or a refund “regardless of your excuse”.
Absolutely dodgy company!

These are fake products made in China. I really hope there are no gullible kids. I bought a lamp after seeing it on Instagram, but the package in the Instagram lamp is advertised as genuine. But I ordered and received the product, but the box was also fake. There is no refund and no contact to customer service, so be careful.

The mushroom lamps we bought entered the country on October 26th, and then tracking stopped for well over a month. Like another reviewer, I also interacted with Liam Ryder at Cleanlino, who eventually told me I should contact the courier myself. Never heard of the courier company and there was no contact info available. Then the lamps suddenly arrived. So cheaply made, and the light they give off is less than a nightlight, so they will not work. They were on sale when we bought them, so apparently Cleanlino will not consider a return. Even on sale at $99 per lamp (supposedly worth $300 a lamp), they are a ripoff. They are obviously cheap knockoffs made in China.

I received a notification of delivery but my order was nowhere to be found.

I exchanged a few unhelpful emails with "Liam Ryder" that ended up with him telling me to do his job as a customer support rep.

Of course, that led to nowhere—no working tracking number, no proof of delivery, and unwilling to cancel my order that I've never received. Then I stumbled on this website, and it all makes sense now.

After visiting their website again, I noticed they are just straight up stealing original photography and product names from original brands/designers. No shame at all. I was duped!

Same thing happened to us. Liam Ryder wanted me to contact the courier, which had no contact info on their tracking page. The lamps finally arrived after several months, and they are cheap and are so dim that you can't light the room.

We bought 3 identical flowerpot lamps. On arrival one of the 3 lamps did not work. They sent us unprofessional video to show us how to check the lamp. It was filled in someone’s home.

They provided a replacement but it was much smaller, different colour and did not come with a charging wire.

The lamp itself is poorly made, wiring dodgy and the light level is terrible. There is no way of knowing how or if we need to replacement.

A huge scam stay away

I received a targeted ad on Instagram fir the &tradition flowerpot lamp at a discount. I ordered 2 lamps and a pendant. The stock arrived completely bent out of shape and fake products. When I wrote to customer service sending photos of the damaged stock they asked for videos. I sent videos of the stock and they kept responding to say my file first was wrong and they could not view the videos. The customer service told me it wasn’t their fault about the damage and wasted So much of my time trying to address all of those requests fir further evidence of the damage (which is very obvious in the photos). I am furious with the fake and broken pieces which I cannot use abd cannot get a direct answer about how to resolve, the time and money wasted and being told that it’s My fault fir not using the correct android phone to take videos of the damage!

Purchased a few lamps from them and they were all counterfeit. When I reached out to them asking how that could happen, they stopped responding and took down all the contact methods from their website.

I have reported them to Better Business Bureau and would recommend others do the same (as well as filing claims with their credit card company).

Paid $80 for a rechargeable lamp that is advertised as the designer lamp. I also got a targeted ad for this product and the website looks professional. I started feeling the scam while I was awaiting its delivery as it’s coming from Franklin Park, IL. It also arrived dented. I will pursue this with my credit card company.

Clearly selling counterfeit goods and impossible to resolve with the merchant. If enough people report them to their credit card company, then they will stop being able to process orders.

They use photos of genuine items on their website and advertising so the products look great online. What you receive is a cheap fake that does not work. In my case it worked for 2 days. I got the runaround from "Liam Ryder" until I threatened to dispute the charge and finally got the refund. Your credit card will help you if they do not refund your money. Hope this helps.

Purchased two table lamps… inferior quality to what I expected and incorrect colour received after waiting weeks for the order to be delivered.

Having advised Liam Ryder (Design Associate at Cleanlino) of the mixup and requesting a return address immediately on receipt of the mistaken lamps I have received endless emails requesting proof of mistaken order…. Still no address or contact details…

This is a fake lighting and home decor company. The founder doesn't exist as a human being. And neither does the company. I received a marketing ad on Instagram to buy this Verner Panton VP9 lamp at a discount. They also sell it as a Brolly lamp (see screenshot). If you go to their website, they have the same lamp under two names!
