I received the same phone call today. Always ask for your account number. I asked the question and they gave me a wrong account number so I told the sales girl "no thanks". A minute later another lady called me as the "Sales Manager". She said she couldn't give out the number because it was protected information. I told her no thanks, not interested. They called from: 804-581-5371 and 605-217-7025

We received a call from someone who said they were with Century Link and said our billing had to be switched over to a new billing department. They said they were switching their name to Lumen, which we knew about. After going through several questions, they said our new bills would be coming in from Clear Rate. It didn't seem right, so I hung up the phone and immediately called Century Link. They said they are definately not part of Clear Rate and that it is a bait and switch. I asked if there would be a problem with them moving our accounts over and Century Link told me no, that it shows on our account that we need a signature. Today we recieved an invoice from Clear Rate and a credit from Century Link saying our numbers had been removed from our account. I called Century Link and they said everything was submitted electronically and if I answered YES to any question, they can put it though and switch our service over. Now we have to go back through getting three of our numbers ported back over to Century Link!!!!
