An associate assured me that Clearbay could assist in my mortgage loan modification
They requested 5k, they drafted a total of 2k from my checking account in January 2020 and February of 2020. Covid-19 hit and I have reached Multiple times to find out where were what information they had sent to my mortgage company I have yet to receive a call back or an email back. .

This is the Management of Clear Bay Associates. Not once were we contacted by this person to resolve or rectify this matter. We are honest and legitimate and our phone number never changed for the entire year of 2020 and 2021. Not once did we receive a call. 2 payments were made out of 5 payments and after 30 days of no payments and no response the file was closed for non payment. Again there was never a call to rectify this situation. Ms Hastings disappeared and never reached out t continue work or not to make a payment. Furthermore she was on a covid 19 protection so she was not making any payments to her mortgage company. For someone to make a complaint on March 10th 2022 makes no sense. This file was closed in August of 2020. Our company worked tirelessly until we were forced to close the doors due to covid 19 in Jan of 2021. Its unfortunate that false claims need to be made. As you can see fro any claims all were responded to. Plus take a look at the A+ we have on the BBB

Mortgage modification scammers. Paid them $5000.00 to fight mortgage company assuring me they had great success and could lower my payment substantially and better terms...took the money and provided an answer to go file bankruptcy that they couldn't do anything for me after telling me to put my mortgage on hold during covid and now I have to take out my life savings to pay over $27,000 to bring my mortgage current. Horrible people...

Ms Avila you were not scammed you hired us to prepare legal documents which were prepared and furnished per out agreement. We actually worked with you for months and have hours of phone talk time with you and your lender. You have never once approached us regarding a resolution. We are a real company who has an A+ on the BBB and has never taken advantage of anyone. If you are asking what you should do you should be expressing your concerns directly to us. Thought I was dealing with a legitimate firm which was part of HOPE for mortgate assistance - heard ad many times. James Tate & Clear Bay Associates set me up to pay them $5000.00 and advised that they work directly as legal team with mortgage holder to reduce payment, interest rate, terms, etc and after advising me to not pay my mortgage until they finalized new terms, they would work with mortgage company and after taking the money, Cindy from clear bay told me to go file bankruptcy if I didn't like the new terms...so now I have 27,000.00 owed for back payments and they never reimbursed anything telling me there were no promises or guarantees...but they need to be known about for the next person who is struggling and believes they are dealing with people who have morals. Horrible people..scammers.

We Never promised or guaranteed a specific outcome and we did a recorded Welcome call initially stating these facts and had an agreement stating the below that was agreed to by this client. We worked for this client, prepared all of the documentation and we are not responsible for the outcome. We told the truth, we never promised per out recorded call and the contract she signed. We never forced anything upon her and are willing to stand up for our company. See the below terms she agreed to
a.) It is not necessary to pay a third party to arrange for a loan modification or other form of forbearance from your mortgage lender or servicer. You may call your lender directly to ask for a change in your loan terms. Nonprofit housing counseling agencies also offer these and other forms of borrower assistance free of charge. A list of nonprofit housing counseling agencies approved by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is available from your local HUD office or by visiting www.hud.gov.
b.) At no time does Clear Bay Associates Legal Group make any specific guarantee about the outcome of a customer’s situation.
c.) At no time does Clear Bay Associates Legal Group advise anyone to miss their mortgage payments.

Clearbay took us for over $5000. You say you are a reputable company. Then why are we now headed in foreclosure? If you are who you say you are then we need to find out from you why our mortgage is now 11 months behind? We need to hear back on how to fix this, if you are as reputable as you claim. Will you respond or are you really a Scammer? Lets see who responds.

It was an ad online that offered mortgage assistance for hardship and they went three months asking for the same documents three different times. I provide the same information and nothing happens with my loan except a forbearance act which anyone is able to do because of the coronavirus. They promised to get me caught up on my mortgage and have my interest rate lowered. Three different people I was in contact with never had an answer when I asked for their LLC. I asked for it at the very beginning and then was told the story and just blind by then too good to be true offer. It was a sign from above I had thought. And now my house will be foreclosed on. I just started working again after my accident which was when my income came to a halt.

I received a call from Micheal Lee, Promising to lower my morgage in 5 months,but also to pay 1,000 for three months for legal fees, I didn't take the as more information on this was needed. Glad I didn't take the offer

This is the Management of Clear Bay Legal. This complaint is totally FALSE. We are good honest people who have families and 100% LEGITIMATE. Ms Ramirez is the daughter of her father who was part of this initial process to hire us. Its been less than 30 days and they NEVER called us expressing any issues or concerns. They even made a payment after this complaint was made. If they wanted to cancel all they had to do was call us and it would have been resolved. We have never and would never take advantage of anyone and this is unfair that Ms Ramirez is making claims when she was part of facilitating this process. We have reached out to her numerous times to address this false complaint and will continue to do so. if anyone has any questions or concerns or in anyway has doubts due to this fraudulent complaint we encourage them to call us directly.
