Scammer emailed me about an online job I applied for. Said they got my information from Job Vite on Indeed. I had applied for many online jobs at this point and could remember the exact names of the companies. They invited me to Microsoft Meets and asked my interview related questions. It seemed like a legitimate communication. Then they began to say they were going to send an Apple Lab too and that I need to install the software after they send me a check to cover the expenses. I said I wasnt comfortable with it anymore. They just asked my name and address and to make 30 sec video stating I would use the funds appropriately and that I would work hard for the company. I did those things, then realized that it was a scam after emailing the actual company they were claiming to be. I feel very silly about this. I can assure it won't happen again for me.
