In August of 2016 we purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue S for $8632.00 with the understanding that is was a sale "as is". Within a few days after having the vehicle I took it out there and spoke with the gentleman that sold me the vehicle expressing the concern that it felt as if it was driving kinda rough. He himself went with me with him driving it and took it for a drive to see how it drove, and He himself came to the decision that it seemed fine( not offering to have the service department look at it) On September 9th 2016( so 13 days later from the sale) I was stuck stranded with a dead battery and had to have them come jump my battery and had to take it to them to have the battery replaced. At 1st they made no offer to cover any of the cost but within a few days they did agree to issue a partial credit (as simply that..a credit to be used only there) Then we also only received 1 key with the car which you could not use to remotely lock or unlock the car with. That ended up being another expense out of our pocket to purchase another key to where the remote would actually work. Now as of Feb 23rd after taking the car back to them with more problems that we have been having it is being told to us that we will need to replace the transmission along with some of the fluids and was given an original quote of $5,625.98. We were so distraught over this matter after days of dealing with this matter and going to them with our frustrations, they have came to the information that they are willing to put a remanufactured transmission in for $3250 with the understanding that the transmission would only be warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles. I have also contacted the owner before us and it was told to me that she had taken it to them to have the transmission serviced because they informed her that the repairs would be covered under the warranty then she ended up being told otherwise and that the repairs would not be covered, so that resulted in her trading the car in for another vehicle(which we were told that she traded it in for a newer model of the same car). We were never told at the time of the sale that the warranty on the transmissions had actually been extended out to 120,000 miles( it had 113456 on it at the time of the sale). That to me was very misleading because we were told that there were no warranties with the vehicle when really there was. And had that information been told to us about the warranty for the transmission being extended, we would have taken more time to consider buying the vehicle. Yes we bought it under the understanding of no warranty however it doesn't make it right for them to keep from us the warranty that was stil in place at the time of the sale .
