Shame on me for sure, but this information needs to be out there to the good people in the world still today that literally are just trying to give a beautiful kitten a home - if they were even real. They look legit, let me tell you, but please don't waste your time and money like I did. Shame on them for giving actual loving breeders a bad name.

Coastalragdollkittens.com. They negotiated via text and email a price of $750 for kitten. Victim sent fee to scammer via Zelle. Scammer then
demanded more money for shipping. Victim at that point realized she was being scammed. Website is obviously employing typical puppy
purchase scam. Scammer refused to process refund and stopped answering phone. Phone number appears to be spoofed. Website/business
is fraudulent in all manner.

When I called back the next day, I spoke with a man named Manny who explained the purchase and shipping process. His informality raised a flag, but it was supposedly a family run breeder, so I let it go. Later that day, he indicated that he had recieved an inquiry from another party about the kitten I was interested in, and wanted to know if I wanted to move forward. Against my better judgement, I proceeded with the purchase. Initially, I was instructed to submit payment through Zelle (to [email protected]), which I don't use. I was then told that they also accept either Cash App or Apple Pay, but not PayPal. I used Apple Pay to send payment to a second number (2819019955) provided to me by Manny. The next day, I received an email from the shipping company, Hi-Ship, with a tracking number and but it indicated that I urgently needed to pay an additional $2000-2500 for a special crate to ship the kitten due to "unexpected weather conditions" and Covid19 so that the kitten could make its flight in an hour. This email did not have a proper sender, signature, or any company information - nothing like what an actual company email would look like. This email also indicated that I should make this payment using Apple Pay to the same number as the initial kitten purchase payment, but insisted that I would be reimbursed 98% upon delivery of the kitten. This finally made me suspicious enough to stop the process - apparently, I'm dumb, but not that dumb. Out of curiousity I did call the shipping company phone number which connected to someone who sounded suspiciously like Manny. At this point I contacted Manny to tell him that I was not comfortable making this payment, and asked for a refund d of the kitten purchase price. Suffice it to say, he was not happy and sent a long string of unpleasant text messages indicating I wouldn't get anything. So much for their 100% money back guarantee.
