I received a confirmation email saying that my application had been received.
However, when someone who was supposedly with the company reached out to set up an alleged interview, the business name and position title did not match what I had applied to.
Exert from my conversation asking why the business names didn't match:
"I know I had applied for a file clerk position with "Bailorry Financial", I received an email from Lupeng R**** a few hours ago which specifies "Costal Financial Healthcare" supposedly in South Dakota, and just now, you mention the company is "Coast Financial", but the link is for "Coaster Financial Healthcare Service". Which is it?"
They couldn't seem to get the name right. When I asked if the companies were related, Jessica the "Senior Hiring Manager" said yes.
But there is NO reference on their website to any of their "partnering" companies.
When I looked up the address provided, I found that the address is for an apartment condo in Salt Lake City Utah.
When she asked where I am located, I stated Huntington Beach, CA as I was already suspicious, she said that the company just so happened to be planning to be building new offices there. When searching for any possible additional locations, none came up. Why would they all of a sudden decide that they are building new locations near me just seconds after I disclose my general location?
Another key detail. The whole "interview" was through gmail Hangouts.
The response times between what I typed and the paragraph they responded with seemed per-meditated. There was not even a goodby or something to that effect at the end of the interview, Jessica simply stopped responding.
For someone that lists having a global team, there isn't much of a trace to be found. No Glassdoor, no Facebook, nothing but their 1 vague website without a careers page, and a false address. (presumably false contact info as well)
