The website requested basic personal information, such as my name and address. After providing the required details, I received a phone call from a representative. During the call, they asked me to confirm the same details I had previously entered on the website. Once I confirmed my information, I was transferred to an insurance agent.
The agent inquired whether I wanted family or individual insurance coverage. I chose family coverage, and the agent informed me that it would cost $400, asking if I would be willing to proceed with the payment today. I agreed, but suddenly, the call was disconnected. I have since been unable to reach the provided phone number.
I believe I have fallen victim to a scam, and I would like to report the incident to the Better Business Bureau for further investigation.
