Claimed to be someone I know through WhatsApp which I use for work. Told me about a mining pool to get into for crypto. Told me to go through Coinbase Wallet, the second I signed up they withdraw unauthorized from my account. Fake person and fake app on Google Play store, with 100s of other victims reported being scammed as well.

Coinbase Wallet is a scam and so is anyone on Whats App messenger. I recieved multiple random requests by WhatsApp from people I dont know about "getting into cryptocurrency." WhatsApp should be added into the scam list for Apps as I am sure millions of people are using for work and being targeted, I imagine they get your information through signing up into WhatsApp which most jobs require.

Probably coming from Chinese based developers. As they message from foreign numbers and barely speak English.
