A person named Natalie Davis called my mother claiming to work for a law firm handling a case for a debt collection and that they recommend my mother reach out and provide claim no. 163631 before they proceed with filing the claim. I am an attorney so I called back the number provided and the person answered the phone "law firm." I provided my name, informed her I am an attorney, and provided my mother's name and asked for information about my mother's alleged case. This person immediately became defensive and said that she didn't know why an attorney was calling and then accused me of lying about being an attorney. I provided her with my name again and told her she was welcome to look me up on the state bar website. She responded, "someone must have told you that you were [censored]ing important but you aren't." I asked her for the name of her law firm and she responded, "I don't have to tell you s***." She then proceeded to yell at me, "maybe your mom shouldn't be a little b***** and pay her debts" and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak with her supervisor. She told me he was in Thailand and that she was headed to court and that no one would be answering the phone for me going forward and hung up. I called back and left a voicemail informing her of my intent to file a claim with the ScamPulse.com and take legal action should she continue to refuse to provide the information for this case and harass my mother. She then called and left my mother a voicemail, telling my mom that she "sounded like a child" (I think she thinks I was my mother) and saying that they didn't need my mom to call them back because they'd go ahead and file the debt collection case without taking to her. She also told my mom that this was a debt collection so she couldn't have an attorney help her with this (which is incorrect). She ended the voicemail by stating my mother should know how to pay her debts at 70 years old. My mother is only 62 years old so clearly she did not even have the right information. Also, any attorney would know that once someone is represented by counsel, that individual cannot be contacted - yet she proceeded to harass my mother. I googled the phone number, the name of the law firm, and Natalie Davis and nothing came back. While I did not get into the meat of the scam, it is clear from this person's reaction that this is a scam that others should be warned of.

This same person is harassing me, my spouse, my mother and my sister-in-law. I have filed numerous complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and nothing has happened. The harassment continues.
